Muscle Aches (Rheumatism), Arthritis and Circulatory Disorders

Muscle aches, pains and general arthritic conditions are highlighted during the cold, damp weather of the winter months.  Acupuncture and remedial massage can be combined to invigorate the blood circulation to the periphery tissues.  Endorphins and opiates (the body’s natural painkillers) are released to control the discomfort.  By triggering an anti-inflammatory response and improving the circulation around the affected areas acupuncture can reduce pain and discomfort.  Patients do not always need to rely on the anti-inflammatory medication but, those that do find the medication works more effectively.
