What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractor

The word Chiropractic means 'done by hand' in Greek. Chiropractic is a regulated profession which provides treatment for a number of conditions involving bones, joints and muscles especially in the spine. Chiropractors aim to increase movement in joints by manipulating them as well as using soft tissue techniques such as massage.

The first time you see a Chiropractor they will take a thorough case history and then a full examination to see where the pain is coming from. Using all this information your chiropractor will be able to diagnose your condition.

The Chiropractor would then give you a report of findings. This is where a thorough explanation of the condition and the suggested treatment is given to allow you to understand the problem.

Types of treatment Chiropractors use include manipulation, mobilisation, massage, ultrasound and interferential to name a few.

Conditions Chiropractors treat include:

• Neck Pain            • Low Back Pain      • Sciatica       • Shoulder injuries

• Sports injuries    • Tennis elbow         • Whiplash    • Disc problems

• Headaches          • Knee Pain
