Shiatsu

 

 

Shiatsu is a Japanese healing art that uses touch and various techniques such as rotations and stretches to balance the body’s energy. It combines traditional Chinese methods of healing with aspects of Western medical theory.

By stimulating the flow of vital energy in the channels or meridians throughout the body, harmony is restored on a mental, physical and emotional level. When the energy in the meridians is rebalanced, the body's natural ability to heal itself is activated.

Shiatsu can help with stress, fatigue, insomnia, depression, tension in muscles or joints, back problems, headaches, respiratory immune and digestive disorders, menstrual or menopausal problems — or it can be used simply to promote relaxation and wellbeing.
